On a recent trip to Mexico I was reminded of the wonderful color palette which inspired me to create my latest homage to one of my favorite artists, Frida Kahlo.
This item measures 6 x 3 1/2 x 1 inches and is composed of thick cardboard. It has been hand painted with various rich & moving shades of Mexico. Inside you will find a likeness of Frida amongst a beautiful vase of purple flowers and a skull. She has a pink flower in her hair. Outside you will find the shadowbox/shrine decorated with skulls, gems, flowers, tree branches, a paper picture of a rose and embellished with Allure paint.
